The Ford New Holland 9280 was introduced in 1990 as part of the 90 series of four-wheel drive tractors, replacing earlier Versatile-built models that Ford had marketed. Production continued until 1993. The 9280 features a Cummins N14 inline 6-cylinder turbocharged diesel engine with a displacement of 14.0L (855 cu in), producing approximately 330 engine horsepower. The transmission is a 12-speed full powershift, providing smooth and efficient gear changes under load. The PTO delivers approximately 270 horsepower, and offers a 1000 RPM speed. The hydraulic system provides a flow rate of around 38 GPM to operate remote hydraulic cylinders for implements. It's equipped with a Category III 3-point hitch.
