Case IH 4386 Tractor Parts

The Case IH 4386 was introduced as a part of the International Harvester (IH) line and continued under the Case IH brand after the merger. Production spanned from 1976 to 1981. This articulated four-wheel-drive tractor was designed for heavy-duty applications. At its core was the International Harvester DT-466 inline 6-cylinder diesel engine, producing approximately 212 horsepower. This engine had a displacement of 466 cubic inches (7.6 liters). The transmission was a robust 8-speed forward, 2-speed reverse, providing ample gear choices for various field conditions. The 4386 had a PTO horsepower rating of 175, with a standard 1000 RPM PTO. Its hydraulic system delivered approximately 30 GPM, with options for multiple remote valves. While lacking a standard 3-point hitch from the factory, aftermarket hitches could be added. The 4386 was commonly used for tillage, planting, and other heavy field work, especially in row crop and grain farming operations. Compared to smaller two-wheel-drive tractors, the 4386 offered superior traction and power for covering large acreages efficiently. It stood out from other models in the lineup with its articulated steering and four-wheel-drive configuration, providing enhanced maneuverability and stability.
