The Massey Ferguson 4370 was introduced in 1996 as part of the 4300 series, designed to offer a reliable and versatile tractor for mid-sized farming operations. Production continued until 2003. Under the hood, the 4370 features a Perkins 1004.4T 4.0L (244 ci) four-cylinder turbocharged diesel engine, delivering approximately 92 horsepower. The transmission options included a standard 12-speed synchro shuttle transmission, providing good flexibility for different field conditions. It also had an option for a 24-speed synchro shuttle. The PTO delivers around 80 horsepower at both 540 and 1000 RPM, making it suitable for operating various implements.
