Massey Ferguson 230 Tractor Parts

The Massey Ferguson 230 was introduced in 1975 and remained in production until 1986, becoming a staple on farms across North America and beyond. It was part of the popular 200 series from Massey Ferguson. The MF 230 was commonly equipped with a Perkins AD3.152 3-cylinder diesel engine, producing around 37 engine horsepower and 33 PTO horsepower. The engine displacement was 152.7 cubic inches (2.5 liters). A gasoline version using the Continental Z-134 engine was also available but less common. The tractor utilized a manual transmission with 6 forward and 2 reverse speeds, providing adequate gearing for a range of applications. Its 540 RPM PTO allowed for powering implements like rotary cutters, balers, and tillers. The hydraulic system had a capacity of around 6 GPM, feeding the Category I 3-point hitch with a lift capacity of approximately 2,200 lbs.
