John Deere 4050 Tractor Parts

The John Deere 4050 was introduced in 1982 as part of the '50 Series' tractor lineup, replacing earlier models and incorporating updated features and styling. It was manufactured until 1986. The heart of the 4050 is a John Deere 6466A six-cylinder diesel engine, producing approximately 110 engine horsepower with a displacement of 466 cubic inches (7.6 liters). Transmission options included a SyncroRange transmission offering 8 forward and 4 reverse speeds, as well as a Quad-Range transmission with 16 forward and 8 reverse speeds providing better speed selection for different applications. The PTO delivers approximately 90 horsepower at either 540 or 1000 RPM, allowing it to power a wide range of implements. The hydraulic system provides around 24 GPM of flow to operate implements effectively. The 3-point hitch is a Category II, providing a lift capacity of around 5,700 lbs. The 4050 was commonly used for row crop work, hay production, livestock operations, and tillage. Compared to smaller models in the lineup, it offered more power and hydraulic capacity, while larger models provided even more horsepower for the biggest farming operations.
