John Deere 4010 Tractor Parts

The John Deere 4010 was introduced in 1960 as part of the New Generation series, replacing the 730. Production continued through 1963, setting a new standard for tractor performance and operator comfort. Engine options included a John Deere 4.2L (254 ci) 4-cylinder diesel engine producing approximately 71 horsepower, or a John Deere 4.0L (242 ci) 4-cylinder gasoline engine, also rated around 71 horsepower. The standard transmission was a Synchro Range transmission offering 8 forward and 2 reverse gears. The independent PTO delivered 62 horsepower at 540 RPM. Hydraulic capacity was around 15 GPM, powering two rear remotes. It featured a Category II 3-point hitch, enabling the use of a wider range of implements. Farmers utilized the 4010 for a variety of tasks, including row crop work, hay production, livestock operations, and light tillage.
