Gleaner N5 Combine Parts

The Gleaner N5 combine harvester was introduced in 1979 as part of Gleaner's 'Natural Flow' series and continued production until 1985. It was designed to improve upon earlier Gleaner models with enhanced performance and reliability. The N5 was typically equipped with a Cummins V8 diesel engine, delivering approximately 235 horsepower with a displacement of around 555 cubic inches (9.1 L). This engine provided ample power for pulling wide headers and efficiently operating the threshing and separating mechanisms. The N5 utilizes a conventional cylinder and concave threshing system, known for its ability to handle a variety of crops with minimal grain damage. The cylinder width is approximately 50 inches. The grain tank capacity is approximately 230 bushels, allowing for extended periods of harvesting before unloading. The unloading auger has a rate of roughly 60-75 bushels per minute, reducing downtime during unloading. Header width options ranged from 13 to 30 feet, catering to different field sizes and crop conditions. Options for chopper and spreader attachments were also available to manage crop residue effectively.
