Ford New Holland 8340 Tractor Parts

The Ford New Holland 8340 was part of the 40 Series tractor line introduced in the early 1990s. This line was designed to offer increased power and improved operator comfort compared to previous models. The 8340 features a Ford 7.5L (456 cubic inch) six-cylinder diesel engine, producing between 115 and 125 horsepower, depending on the specific configuration. It was available with either a manual transmission offering various speeds including the popular 12x12 synchronized shuttle or the more advanced ElectroShift transmission. The PTO delivers around 100-110 horsepower, switchable between 540 and 1000 RPM, providing versatility for different implements. Hydraulic capacity is approximately 24 GPM, powering up to three remote valves. The 8340 features a Category II 3-point hitch with a lift capacity of around 7,400 lbs.
