Ford New Holland 2600 Tractor Parts

The Ford New Holland 2600 was introduced in 1975 as part of the '00' series of tractors, replacing earlier models and representing a significant upgrade in terms of performance and operator comfort. Production continued until 1981. The tractor came standard with a 3-cylinder engine, available in both diesel and gasoline variants. The diesel version featured a 175 cubic inch (2.9L) Ford engine producing approximately 42 horsepower, while the gasoline version used a similar displacement engine also rated around 42 HP. PTO horsepower was approximately 36. The standard transmission was a 6-speed manual gearbox. Hydraulic capacity was around 6 GPM with a single remote option often available. The 2600 featured a Category I 3-point hitch, enabling it to handle a wide range of implements. Farmers used the 2600 for various tasks including row crop work, hay baling, livestock feeding, and light tillage. Compared to the smaller 1000 series, the 2600 offered more power and capabilities, while remaining a versatile and economical choice for smaller to medium-sized farms.
