Case IH 1066 Tractor Parts

The Case IH 1066 was introduced in 1971 as part of the updated International Harvester '66 series, replacing earlier models and offering enhanced features and power. It was produced until 1976. The heart of the 1066 is the International Harvester DT-414, a 414 cubic inch, 6.8-liter, 6-cylinder diesel engine producing approximately 125 engine horsepower. The tractor featured a gear-drive transmission, typically an 8-speed forward and 4-speed reverse, providing a range of speeds suitable for various field operations. The PTO horsepower was rated at approximately 110 HP, available with both 540 and 1000 RPM options. The hydraulic system offered a capacity of around 12 gallons per minute, powering up to two remote valves for implements. It typically featured a Category II 3-point hitch, providing a lift capacity of around 5,500 lbs. The 1066 was commonly used for row crop work, hay production, livestock operations (feeding and manure handling), and tillage tasks. Compared to smaller models in the lineup, the 1066 offered significantly more power and hydraulic capacity, making it suitable for larger implements and more demanding tasks. Compared to the larger 1466, the 1066 offered a more nimble package while still providing ample power for most farming operations.
